UPM appreciate the Olypic Rio Athletes

Serdang Sept. 14 _ Three athletes Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) received incentives from the university due to their outstanding participation in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, recently.

 Athletes Incentive Scheme through UPM's victory, the three athletes involved received cash as well as mobility grants, which give them the opportunity to participate in a student exchange program abroad with full sponsorship.

 Three athletes involved are Cheong Jun Hoong (diving) who received RM4,000, while Zaidatul Husniah Zulkifli (sprinter), and Johnathan Wong Guanjie (shooting), each received RM1,000.

 UPM Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Aini Ideris said that incentives for athletes terbabut appreciate the contribution that sacrifice time and energy for the sake of the nation.

 "Incentive scheme is designed to celebrate all UPM athletes who excelled in sports, particularly at the international level.

 "Hopefully, with this incentive can have a positive impact on other athletes to be more motivated to win every game together," he said at the presentation ceremony Sport Athlete Incentive UPM to Rio 2016, here today. - THE STAR ONLINE
